Manalox 130™ has been developed as an liquid alternative to powdered Aluminum Isopropoxide (AIP). AIP is a widely used chemical that work as a catalyst in Meerwein-Pondorf reductions, Oppenauer oxidations, and Tischenko reactions and as a material used in the production of dielectric ceramics. Manalox 130 comes supplied as 85% active aluminum alkoxides in technical white oil solvent. The carrier solvent may be modified to fit the customer’s specific requirements.
Manalox 130 is a liquid mixture of aluminum alkoxides in a technical white oil that offers several benefits over powdered AIP:
No dust explosion risk
Consistency – the overall aluminum content is tightly controlled resulting in a more consistent product
